take them back to Los Angeles. The team will play several friendlies before the
trip and several more while in the US.
Real Madrid's 2012/13 preseason started on 16 July, when all the players except
for the Euro 2012 internationals and Marcelo (set to play in the Olympics)
returned to Valdebebas to undergo medical examinations and start training. The
team is set to play its first friendly of the preseason in Oviedo on 24 July.

The team will return to the Spanish capital after the clash and remain there until 27 July, when it will travel to Lisbon to face Benfica in the fifth edition of the Eusebio Cup. Benfica won the Cup of Portugal and reached the UCL quarterfinals last season.
The Eusebio Cup has gathered some of the best teams in the world in the last four years, such as Inter Milan, AC Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. Real Madrid will be the first Spanish club to participate in the tournament.

The Whites will return to Madrid after the match and will travel to Los Angeles the following day. They will train at UCLA's facilities until their return to Spain on 11 August.
During their US stage, the Madridistas will travel to Las Vegas, New York and Philadelphia to play several friendlies. They will face LA Galaxy in Los Angeles on 2 August. The US side won the MLS this season and is captained by Landon Donovan. Their squad features veterans Robbie Keane and former Madridista David Beckham.
